• We do NOT collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data on external servers
• Your financial information never leaves your device unless you explicitly export or backup the data

Data Stored Locally:

• Expense records (title, amount, category, account, date, notes)
• Custom categories and account types
• App settings (theme preference, currency selection)
• App lock PIN (encrypted using Android Security-Crypto library)

No Data Collection

We want to be clear about what we DO NOT collect:

Permissions

The app requests the following Android permissions:

Storage Permission

• Purpose: To export expense data (CSV/JSON) and create backups
• Usage: Only used when you explicitly choose to export or backup data
• Data Access: Only accesses files you create through the app

Biometric Permission (Optional)

• Purpose: To enable fingerprint/face unlock for app lock feature
• Usage: Only if you enable biometric authentication in settings
• Data Access: Uses Android’s secure biometric APIs; biometric data never leaves your device

Data Security

We take your data security seriously:

Encryption

• App lock PIN is encrypted using Android’s Security-Crypto library
• Sensitive settings stored in encrypted SharedPreferences
• All data remains on your device with Android’s built-in security

App Lock Feature

• Optional PIN-based authentication
• Optional biometric authentication (fingerprint/face)
• Protects access to your financial data

Code Security

• ProGuard code obfuscation in release builds
• No network communication (offline-first design)
• No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs

Data Export and Backup

User-Controlled Data Export

You have complete control over your data:

Export Options:

• CSV format for spreadsheet applications
• JSON format for data portability
• Full backup with all settings

Export Process:

• Initiated only by you
• Saved to your device’s Downloads folder
• You choose where to share or store exported files

Important: When you export or backup data, you are responsible for securing those files. We recommend:

• Storing backups in secure locations
• Not sharing export files with untrusted parties
• Deleting old export files when no longer needed

• We do NOT share your data with any third parties
• The app works completely offline

You can delete your data at any time:

• Delete individual expenses through the app
• Clear all data by uninstalling the app
• Android’s app data clearing will remove all app data

• Modify categories and account types
